COMMON QUESTIONS

We're here to help you understand.

Could SPRAVATO be right for me?

It may be an option if you've tried antidepressants without enough relief. We'll review your medical history, treatment history, and safety considerations together.

What will treatment feel like?

Experiences vary. You may notice dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, or a sense of disconnection. Our team monitors you closely.

How often will I come in?

For treatment-resistant depression, treatment typically starts twice weekly for four weeks, followed by weekly visits for four weeks. Maintenance is individualized, often weekly or every other week.

How long is each appointment?

Plan for preparation and dosing, at least two hours of monitoring, and a discharge assessment.

Will I need someone to drive me home?

Yes. A responsible adult must drive you home. Do not drive or operate machinery until the following day after a restful sleep.

What if I'm nervous about treatment?

That's understandable. We'll explain the process, answer your questions, and review potential risks before beginning.

Will insurance help cover treatment?

Coverage varies by plan. We can help review benefits, prior authorization requirements, and potential costs. Approval is not guaranteed.

Are there important risks?

SPRAVATO can cause sedation, dissociation, breathing problems, increased blood pressure, and other serious effects. It also carries risks of abuse or misuse and suicidal thoughts or behaviors.

Certain medical conditions may prevent treatment. Your clinician will review these risks with you.
